It was the last day of Bible School, February 25th, and I think he realized we wouldn’t really be able to spend so much time together again unless we made it official.. So he confessed that he liked me and wanted us to be more than friends. I was surprised to say the truth, I liked him too but I wasn’t sure he liked me back, and when he asked I felt like it was too soon, I was too young and unsure of myself… so I asked him to wait..
I thought I did it in the nicest way possible and I thought he understood my reasons, but I later came to learn that my “wait” just came across to him as a “no” and when I finally felt ready, he just did not ask me out!! I dropped hints like crazy, but I guess he didn't want to risk another rejection. This went on until 18th June 2010 when he finally decided to act on all my hints and he asked me again to be his girlfriend... I was like - it's about time you asked!! hehehe...
And so we became official... we dated within the same country for 1 and a half years before he got his job in the USA in December 2011, marking the beginning of what has turned out to be 4 years of long distance relationship – that has only been possible by the grace of God...
